What did you write yesterday? A chapter for your book? An article? Blog? Letter? Note to yourself? Grocery list?
Take time to be grateful for the gift of writing! How useful it is! How much pleasure it gives! What a wonderful ability it is to take our thoughts and put them on paper!
Written language is a gift. Each word is a tiny wonder. Stringing words together to communicate an idea is an amazing act. Having a mind that produces ideas is something that sets us apart from the animals, part of that God-likeness we were created with. So even if the sum of your writing yesterday was a grocery list, take joy in the fact that you could remember what you needed to put on the list, that you could imagine each item, that you could represent each item with written symbols, and that later you would be able to understand what those symbols meant and act upon them.
