I'm designing the cover for Frances Rolleston and could use some input.
Remember, this is a biography of a 19th century British lady from a respected family, who studied the figures on the Egyptian planisphere, researched the names of the stars and figures, and finally published Mazzaroth: the Constellations.
However, this was not all she did. Her life was full of loving ministry to others. She fought slavery, established infant-schools for the poor, nursed cholera victims and raised money for those starving in famine.
She kept abreast of developing ideas in astronomy and geology and engaged in debates through letters to newspapers.
In addition, she was an accomplished poet and painter, and she wrote and published other books.
I don't know how the cover can hint at all of this, unless through the summary on the back.
Your ideas will be gratefully received!
