I thought I was finished with mushrooms for a while, but when I came upon this one the other day, I had to share it.
here are fungi that grow underground, so large that they cover many acres. But knowing that and seeing this, are two different things.
There's a life lesson there, I suppose, about how we tend to put more value on the things we see than on the things we can't see. But the wise way is to value the unseen. "For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."*
So what is the name of this giant mushroom? Don't know. If you want to look it up, I'll be grateful!
