Isn't this an interesting building? I took this photo in England two years ago. Probably if you or I were designing a building, it would look different from this. Everyone has different ideas of what is workable and what is beautiful.
The same is true of building a business. We must each decide on our own interests, values and work styles if we are to truly put our hearts into our work.
Recognizing that, I have designed a course of study called "The Ancient Wisdom of Proverbs for Business Building." My son, who is a builder, helped me with the order of these (simplified) steps:
Week One: Foundation - your value and the value of your product or service
Week Two: Framing - your principles and values
Week Three: Roof - your counselors, mentors, advisors
Week Four: Doors and Windows - channels of communication
Week Five: Floor - plan for flow of activities
Week Six: Siding - branding
Week Seven: Furnishing - extra value for your customers and clients
If you think you might like to know more, you are welcome to try it out. There is no charge for this seven-week study. Find it here.
